Teaching in the Department
The curriculum in our department combines theory-based fundamentals of transportation and urban planning with empirical research methods, data-driven analyses, and issues related to the mobility transition. We provide expertise in mobility behavior, infrastructure planning, new technologies, and modeling approaches for sustainable cities and regions.

Courses
We offer lectures, exercises, and seminars in German and English for bachelor's and master's students as well as international visitors.
Project Work
Practical project work forms the core of the spatial planning program. Working in small groups, students independently develop real-world concepts and designs for various scenarios.
Theses
We supervise bachelor's and master's theses on current topics such as mobility behavior, space and society, public transportation/infrastructure, e-mobility, as well as data analysis and AI.
