Welcome, Prof. von Behren!
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Sascha von Behren as the new Chair of Mobility and Transport. With his solid background in mobility research, Prof. von Behren brings fresh impetus to the development and design of the department.
Prof. von Behren worked for many years as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Institute of Transportation at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he worked on empirical mobility issues. At the same time, Prof. von Behren was involved in a doctoral program at the BMW Group, where he was involved in strategic projects on mobility and corporate development.
Prof. von Behren has worked intensively on urban mobility, quantitative mobility analyses and the systematic understanding of traffic and mobility behavior. His work combines scientific research with practical issues of mobility transformation.
We are looking forward to the new start of our department and a good cooperation.
